Impact of Globalisation of Science and Technology on Scientific and Technological Development in China

The globalisation of science and technology is not only a key component of economic globalisation, it is also its engine and lifeblood. This article interprets the essence of the notion ‘globalisation of science and technology’, its characteristics and influence on scientific and technological development in China. Through this analysis, the article puts forward a full set of laws and regulations for the development of science and technology, to strengthen law enforcement in this area. It also suggests the need for government support, diversification of mainstream R&D investment, a combination of selective importation and autonomous creation, implementation of a strategy for reinvigorating China through human resource development, the promotion of multilateral cooperation in science and technology, active participation in the enactment of international regulations on their development and so on. This will be the political orientation adopted by China’s future development in science and technology.
