Similarities and Differences of Gender Participation in Politics
Viewing the autonomy of Zhejiang village from the perspective of feminism
Abstract: This paper places the political participation of females in Zhejiang villages in the perspective of feminist politics. Comparison shows that both sexes have very similar degre of self-awareness and self-motivation in terms of political participation. However, in the reality of power structure, traditional patriarchy is still hindering female political participation in a substantial way. This poses a serious problem to village autonomy.
